The Innovation Paradox is a term that relates to the stage of a business when innovation-led growth has necessarily created internal systems that unintentionally stifle further innovation. Procedures, processes, legal departments and procurement departments scupper the velocity of the business and, with it, weaken the innovation muscle. Creativity and control have different requirements, and it pulls the organisation in opposite directions.
